I thought I wasn't loved

but now I know that I am love and yes, loved

I thought there were no words inside me

but now I know there are vast silences

I thought my body was a dry husk

but now I know it's sensation and dancing light

I thought I wasn't allowed

but now I know that I'll be here anyhow because …

because I do care

because shame and fear are no longer welcome here
